This just in with breaking new Halo news! Earlier today, 343 Industries announced the limited edition Xbox One for Halo 5: Guardians on the official Tweeter account for Halo (okay guys, it’s not actually the limited console…that comes later). The tweet also linked to a news article at Xbox.com, which explained how Microsoft plans to start manufacturing Xbox Ones out of recycled Mountain Dew cans and digested Doritos. But anyway, here are some details about the console!
- Is obtainable at San Diego Comic Con, for gamers in Russia. (Halo 5: Guardians will not be included, but will ship alongside a life-sized plush doll of a Guardian)
- Optimized to run games at 15 frames per second, and is backwards compatible with Nintendo Wii games
- Does not include a disc drive, controllers, or a hard drive (all data is stored on the One Drive for a $99.99 monthly subscription fee)
- Given green energy efficiency by being powered soley off exterior-mounted solar panels and wind turbines
- Can be trained to sit
Halo 5: Guardians releases on October 27, 2015. In other, unrelated news, the previously mentioned Ross Bigfoot has been spotted by members of the League of Assassins from DC Comics; further details are being awaited by an ambassador of the group.
